Investors in People Recognition of Hunt & Palmer Group

Bespoke aircraft charter company Hunt & Palmer has been awarded accreditation against the new Investors in People Standard, demonstrating their commitment to high performance through good people management.

Incorporated in 1986, a number of subsidiaries and overseas offices now make up the Hunt & Palmer group including music tour specialists Premier Aviation (UK) Ltd and air freight logistics division Hunt & Palmer Cargo Charters Ltd. Employing around 60 people worldwide, Hunt & Palmer’s global presence is enhanced through a network of offices and GSAs in Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and the USA.

Hunt & Palmer are proud to have held an Investors in People accreditation in the UK since 2001, however the introduction of the new Investors in People standard last year paved the way for the entire Hunt & Palmer group of companies, including its overseas entities, to be assessed as a whole for the first time.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Commenting on the award, Hunt & Palmer director Mark Jenkinson said: “We have always strived to ensure that the ethos and standards of the Investors in People scheme are promoted throughout our organisation, both at home and overseas. My co-directors and senior management recognise the importance of good people management to the success of any business and we firmly believe that Investors in People has always provided us with an excellent framework to support our work in this regard. When we were told that an international accreditation is now possible under the new standard, we readily sought to submit our entire group for assessment as the best way to demonstrate that we have been successful in achieving that aim.”

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Hunt & Palmer; Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. Hunt & Palmer should be extremely proud of their achievement.”

Making reference to the company’s longevity, Mark Jenkinson said, “August 2016 marks the start of Hunt & Palmer’s 30th year of trading which in itself is a notable achievement. Therefore to have obtained the Investors in People accreditation internationally in the same month really is an accolade and a great way to start our birthday celebrations.”

Hunt & Palmer’s Resources Manager Suzanne Clitheroe, and the person responsible for facilitating Investors in People within the organisation said, “We are absolutely delighted with this achievement and we shall continue to implement the values of the Investors in People standard as our business grows. This award belongs not just to the company but to each and every one of our employees who make Hunt & Palmer such a great place to work.”
